In a June 2019 interview with LA Weekly, guide vocalist Ian Astbury mentioned that the Cult have been "lengthy overdue" to release new music.
On twenty June 2013, the band introduced the launch of Electric-Peace which includes the overall Electric album in addition the Peace album which was previously introduced
on the now discontinued Rare Cult box set in 2000.

the band and joined Bad Religion to include for guitarist Greg
Hetson. James Stevenson, from the Beauty's on the Streets tour in 1994, replaced Dimkich as the Cult's rhythm guitarist.
